I would like to start this thread for people to post when they get their shipping notifications. This will let the others know how things are going and how they are doing in the list. Please include you backer number. j.
So amazingly, it says that the label has been printed with anticipated delivery tomorrow at 10:30am. That's only 15 hours from now, to the US...
With FedEx express, that's not unusual. Some time ago, I ordered a special christmas present at a dealer in your hometown. From the time of ordering to the delivery to my front door in north Germany, it took 14 hours and 30 minutes. And I don't live next door to an international airport. It shows: It's feasible, but at a price. Not premium, but reasonable. The gift was well received. Cheers, U.
A tad optimistic on FedEx's part. Turns out they didn't pick it up at E3D yesterday, so they did pick it up today, and is on the way now to Boston, with anticipated arrival in the morning...
on Twitter they posted an update and indicated mine might be dispatched next week and I'm 194 so think they are going out at a very quick pace! But don't worry I'm not going to hold them to that
How are you guys liking the twitter/kickstarter etc previews? I think they're pretty cool but does anyone find them annoying at all?
Only thing that drives me nuts a little, is I have to check the forum, google+, the kickstarter page, and twitter and see if there are any updates on any of them instead of it being in one location.
It's still kind of difficult to estimate anything, but there is a sort of scale factor to take into account too on the backer numbers: whilst there are 465 backers, if you add up the boxes that have been ordered on the kickstarter campaign page (kits and fully assembled) you get 334. So for 46 backer numbers to be covered, they have to send out 33 boxes. Approximately.
Gotta love fedex routing. It flew over my head, then another 2 hours west, then turned around to fly back to Boston... Only 3 hours until delivery!
I think all FedEx packages coming into the US go through customs in either Indianapolis or Anchorage. Anchorage is mostly packages coming from the far east countries.
