Sometimes its just the filament that's the problem...

I have several spools of different color filament. From different sources. Some ABS, Some PLA.
Some usual tricks work for both, some dont.
Always Kapton tape on the bed.
Sometimes add the purple-on, clear when dry glue stick.
Sometimes add blue painters tape. Plus the glue stick.
I've found MakerGeeks ABS and PLA, and Octave ABS and PLA to be the best.
I couldn't even get the E3D everyday samples to stick well.

I just changed a problematic job that would not stick... with a black ABS from Makergeeks. all good now.
I will need to start a recipe of success taped to each roll!

From one absurd extreme to the other... I switched to another filament of PLA since my ABS was warping. It stuck so much that I had to take the glass off the bed and spend 20 min, prying up the edge of the print with a sharp razor _just_ to get off the bed. Now I need to recover with Kapton. The add insult to injury... the top of the print came out horrible. zits, pops, strings etc.

Welcome to the Joys of 3D printing

I have had similar problems, but recently I have been getting my best results for PLA on just the glass bed, but cleaning it before each print with some niceday keyboard/screen cleaner.

    Yeah that's it!
Sometime you can bang your head against the wall because you think you are doing just the same as yesterday but today it does not work... Sometimes you just missed something, sometimes it is due to factors you have no influence on or you didn't know yet that this can cause the issue you see...
3D printing is learning every day :D

So the answer lies in less use of the glue stick. more swearing. etc. I found that the glue stick works too well.
Maybe 50% coverage. cleanup with a moist towelette works. (one of the very few times you can use the word MOIST.)
