    Hi,

im making my machine quieter and I have used a 50mm fan with a little voltage regulator quiet succesfully in the past. Now I have updated my carriage and I have less space.

So im wondering if a high quality noctua fan like the prusa mk3 uses now, would do the trick.
    There is a 40mm for 12€ https://www.amazon.de/Noctua-NF-A4x...id=1506535811&sr=8-1&keywords=noctua+40mm+12v
which is still a lot for a fan but could work well.

My question now is, if the air flow volume is comparable, or if there even is a little headroom to slow down the fan even more.
Maybe there is even a bit of space to reduce speed on the stock fan a bit, has someone played around with that?

    Cheers
