    Hello fellow 3D printing addicts,

as @Sanjay announced E3D wants to extend its efforts for this community.
And one part of this was to recruit me for helping out in the forums, the Wiki and what ever might come maybe.
So starting today I am moderator in this forum.

Some of you might know me a little, just to give you a short insight here some details about me.

I started 3D printing about 1.5 years ago with an Ultimaker 2. After getting a little into 3D printing I was pointed to E3D stuff and since then I was trying to get in touch with their stuff. WHen I saw the BigBox announcement i was excited and after some days of thinking I backed the Kickstarter campaign.
Form then on I read everything I found about 3D printing, did test, prepared for the BigBox, started a little in electronics and read read read...
When it arrived and was ready to go I chose to join this community to get information, to share and to help people. This community growed rapidly with the growing number of delivered BigBoxes and with that the need in support too. So I tried to help and analyze things, and my efforts now lead to that I am a proud member and moderator of this community.

I have an mechanical engineering degree, I am very into computers and software and networks and all that stuff, I did the administration during my studies for 6 years of the biggest multiplex cinema in Germany.
At the moment I work for a SolidWorks reseller in Germany as a principal consultant for PDM and PLM software solutions, implementing the software for new customers, developing addins and doing support.

My secondary occupation is our farm, my mother in law and my wife have a riding school and I am doing all the farm stuff since my father in law passed away two years ago. We have about 150 horses and I farm about 56 hectares fields and 16 hectares forest.

So let's keep up this great community and HAPPY PRINTING!

    Alexander

I don't know if you know an advertisement of Apple, but here in Germany we had a TV spot about the new iPhone and the "Live Photos", and they said something like "time travels are too dangerous"... They didn't say "impossible" :D:p

I can't deny this, though I don't ride, I did a while ago, but I have no time to do it in way the would please my expectations to myself, so I stay away from it at the moment...
And yeah, there might be posts I wrote while sitting in the tractor forking hay or mow some grass ;)

If you remember, you did try agricultural grease before cleaning them off and moving to lithium... ;)

Yes I do. But he grease is still on them. I used the white lithium for the lead screws and the soap based lithium recommended by Misumi for the bushings... I just had it in my workshop because I use it too for all my machines...
