    Hi.
I'm a noob and I simply wants to change my TAZ 5 extruder by a E3D.

The motor of the TAZ 5 is a NEMA 17 2.8 volt. The one on the E3D is not the same. Do we have to use the one of the TAZ 5 if we want to upgrade the extruder by a E3D?

Is there a video as to how attach the wire to the TAZ 5?

And what do I have to do for the firmware (software) and codes?

    thx

    thx a lot. It helps!

just one question though. I wanted to change the TAZ 5 extruder into a E3D titan. Is there a good link of that also? Why some people upgrade the whole extruder and some not? What is the advantage of changing everything?

    thx again.

the advantage of the Titan is its compact and light. In the configuration used by the Taz I'm not sure you'd see any benefit.

If anything I think the Taz 6 X carriage and how easy it is to mount extruders is great. There's a bigbox mod that looks more like the Taz x carriage which is very tempting.
