    Hello,

I have a problem with the Block & Sock - V6 Upgrade kit.
I installed it with the Thermistor Cartridge and as you can see in the picture attached I have very fluctuating temperature. I did a PID but that didn´t work.

Do you have any idea what the problem is?
With the old therministor I hadn´t a problem like this, but I hadn´t socks on it.

    King regards
    Georg

This looks like a sensor failure.

    Few things.
    1. Check all your connections going to the thermistor to make sure it has a good connection.
    2. Take out the thermistor. If there is a big dent in the side from the screw, it's dead. If you clamp down too hard, things inside the casing will break, and it isn't going to work. If it is only a slight dent, it should be ok. If it's dead, they are pretty cheap, so its not a huge deal.

I think i'ts not your sensor, but your PID settings. Take a look at your temperatures. These are ok at t -18 min, and slowly start to fluctuate more and more after that. At t -8 min the temperature is total out of control. Try to lower the P and D values, or rerun the PID autotune with the sock on the heatbklock.
