Hey printing experts, did they leave anything out? https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/
It was exactly what I was looking for, being a beginner and all it will help me out a lot getting this thing dialed in.
my S3D prints horribly. not sure if I just need to mess with every setting. but I have gaps between the infill and the outline. I raise the outline overlap then it infills way to much. it ridiculous
@KNM3D, take a look at page two on this thread https://forum.bigbox-3d.com/index.p...n-backers-will-get-the-license-key.355/page-2 had some similar-ish issues with simplfy 3d, and some other pointers in there that might help. Got mine printing as well as slic3r, maybe slightly better quality
I never had good results with slicer. I aperently suck at 3D printing. im still super confused. not sure what that thread is telling me
So my issue was gaps between everything. The default print multiplier is 0.9 (or extrude 90% of what is needed) changing this under the process to 1 helped my prints. Maybe check that on yours? The good news is that when big box is released they will provide the best settings possible to load into s3d so will help avoid any issues with print quality from a settings point of view. Try the multipler, if that doesn't help you can post back here or even contact s3d support, from what I hear they are very helpful. If it makes you feel any better I sucked at printing for about 11 months until I got everything set properly, just keep asking questions and it will eventually all come together
