I understand the Hybrid Titan for the dual is one titan and one bowden.
The Titan Dual is two titans either side by side or front and back; depending on the carriage mount.

Are most Dual owners going with Dual Titans? Which carriage mounts? Is there a RC6 firmware for Dual Titans?

What motors are recommended for the Titan Dual? My original or would I gain anything from pancake style? If so, where to source those from? Wiring?

Titan Dual is a community project started by @Chase.Wichert. At least he is the one who posts his progress here in the forums, I do not know if someone else is doing something like this at the moment.
The project is in an early alpha phase I would say, some people printed some parts, but it seems there is still at lot of work to do.
You have to follow in this thread: https://forum.e3d-online.com/index.php?threads/titan-dual-direct-drive-design.1307/
The file are up on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1554356 but as I said, this is not final and there was no feedback yet from anyone who completely printed the parts and mounted them.
No other documentation up at the time of writing other than the thread or what is on Thingiverse...

Yeah, I installed it over the weekend, and it is working, but I am modifying the parts to make it easier to install and give it more travel, among other things. I have two of these on it, however the design would allow for motors slightly larger, with a tweak or two, but if these work like everyone expects you wouldn't want to go heavier, it just hinders print quality or speed to get better looking prints.
