Hi everyone, we recently got a tool changer and I finished assembling the electronics. Now i need to install the reprap firmware and I am confused about 1. the "TCH-Z-Endstop-Z Switch" wiring terminal and I can't figure it out where it goes. I am guessing It should go into the "Z Stop" slot next to the two fuses on the Duet board. Am I correct? The Z stop I got in the package is a simple switch type stop with on or off functionality, and It goes on the head on the XY gantry. 2. I have not got any other sensors like inductive probes etc in the package. So I don't have any probes on the machine now. But the Duet Web Control Shows "Z Probe" with a value of 1000 and gives me an error "Z probe triggered at the start of probe moving". So I realized I must be running a wrong firmware and got to this website"https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/" Can anyone help me go through the numerous options in that page.
This does indeed go to the Z-Stop input. You can see this in the following picture: (Follow the braided bundle going down the middle, which then changes to a white twisted pair that connects just under the fan connector.) https://d17kynu4zpq5hy.cloudfront.net/igi/e3d-online/KYR1A6AsfEWySsME.huge The Z probe is configured as P7, which means that the Z endstop is used: Sadly it looks like all of the probe setup is deprecated, including the X, Y and Z parameters of the same line. Here's the Duet3D firmware update page: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware It looks like v3 has only just come out so the configs are likely incorrect for that version.
Okay. now the z stop connection issue is sorted. But I still cannot find out how to proceed further from this point. What options should I choose from "https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/" inorder to get my tool changer working
You should be able to start with the configuration in this repository, at least for RepRapFirmware V2: https://github.com/e3donline/RepRapFirmware-SD/ The specific settings are in this file: https://github.com/e3donline/RepRapFirmware-SD/blob/master/sys/config.g
