Ok, so the latest seems to be a "mid June" shipping date according to Greg when asked by Tom at MRRF. That is quite a difference from what was said in the newsletter, but I guess there is no other way than just wait.
They will be, but only once the finalized models went on sale. So we don't have version/fork hell where the open sourced contributions are only compatible with certain revisions etc.
Since one of the updates mentioned that the acrylic panels will be transparent by default, will there be an option to have them in white or do I have to have them lasercut somwhere?
I guess I'll just CNC something somewhere once the plans come out, don't have a lasercutter big enough. I will make it happen somehow. Other thing: with the Duet 3 not being that far off (given how there is even some documentation for it now), have you tried the Toolchanger on a Duet3 prototype already? Because this is what I'd eventually be after.
Duet 3 has not been used to control a tool changer yet, because the main board doesn't support enough motors or heaters, and we don't yet have enough prototype expansion boards to distribute to beta testers. That may change in a couple of weeks.
I got my queue number, I should get home from a month long work trip early next week, can't wait to start printing!
Lucky you ! According to my calculations my printer will arrive by the end of September (queue number 75). But still it's better than 475 ;-)
Well I am number 26 in the queue, I am waiting for that email still, got the funds saved up and everything. This will not be cheap, but damn will it be worth it!
i had queue number 17 and got just email to go order it. Price is too much for me so i asked to cancel it and give it to next one. Maybe i start build it from scratch. I got cnc machine on last week
Also currently building a CNC but I have saved up for the Bigbox, just waiting on that email, I hope it arrives before I have to go for another month long work trip...
