It would be great to know if we can add a ceramic screwdriver to our order if it's not been shipped or packed yet...??? And or other items even..??
@ jon: I tried to add a spool of Scaffold to my order (post-Kickstarter, darn it!) and was told it would cost me my place in the queue. Needless to say, that was the end of that idea...
Oddly enough, the ceramic screw driver was the only thing I didn't have from the list and, fortunately, the only thing I added to my BigBox order. Pretty much of a lucky guess that I would be needing one. Now the next challenge for everyone is guessing when their BigBox will be shipped. How many units would you say are getting shipped daily...approximately?
Big changes give a chance of delay, but adding Scaffold is fine. email support@e3d-online.com, Dan will help
Adding to your order is fine within reason (still fits in the box, is in stock, etc!). Request the change through e3d's support email, it should be ok. If not, you can blame me...
I was wondering if a stl file was ever developed for a dial gauge for BigBox. Or does anyone know the distance from rod to rod on the x-axis?
Thanks, Clare, I'll have another whack at Dan and tell him you said it's OK. While I'm bugging him, I'll ask him to toss in a ceramic screwdriver...not that there's any particular hurry. I only pre-ordered in early November, which means I probably won't get my prize till February, if then. *sob* *sniff*
Thank you...just thought they had one available on the onset of their development of the bed. I just wanted to make sure the bed was completely leveled so the self leveling option is just a double check from print to print. Didn't want to sole rely on the self leveling feature...sounds crazy but call me old fashioned. Richard Horne had mentioned this back on September 6th but of course this was before the bed springs were switched out. Nontheless, the bed is still adjustable and it doesn't hurt to make sure that their is little to no self adjusting needed by the machine.
And a proper Pint Glass! I loved those glasses when I worked there one year (Brighton... printing T-Shirts, of all things).
In the US, Home Depot has an Allen key set that looks like a Swiss Army knife. I bought a pair; one imperial and one metric. The metric starts at 2 and goes by .5 through about 5 or so. If you can find ball end metric drivers, they are the best. They look like screwdrivers, but have a ball Allen on the end. It has been so handy putting this thing together so far.
Most [serious] bike stores i the US have nice sets of T-handled metric ball-ended allen wrenches... I have a nice set (in addition to the usual folding set from Craftsman) from Park Tools (was not extremely expensive, and was super awesome during my X-Carve setup).
