Any news on likely stocking date for these? I've been holding off on 2x Titan orders to make at the same time.
Hopefully this coming week. There have been others things afoot which have been causing delays.......
24days later... still legit? Sorry Greg, but your credability in pronounacing release dates seems off with weeks/months and lets hope not years. What's holding me back to take my business elsewhere? ... you guessed it right!!!
I ordered mine from DigiKey long ago. I don't think e3d will miss much business here as they're probably just distributing rather than massively profiting. There's no modification required to fit RUMBA, though you do need to set the jumpers right and reconfigure the firmware to match the new drivers.
I can cofirm just how silent these drivers make your printer. Especially when yo plug them in the wrong way round! RUMBA now fried They should be orientated as per the attached picture when compared to standard board!
That sucks! They go bottom up yes This enables the heat sinks to be mounted on the bottom as is best with these kind of chips. If you need heat sinks.
Fortunately Spoon Unit has hooked me up with his old RUMBA. Just got to figure how to reconfigure Marlin!
I'm pretty happy with my 2100s from E3D. Although I wish I'd only bought two (X and Y), since they don't do much for Z and extruders. If you're tempted, now there's a better option with the 2130's, which have Marlin support for a bunch of great features. I would love to have the auto-rehome. Watch the video for details...
