SOLVED Trouble changing steps/mm in firmware

    I do wonder what I'm doing wrong... Got DRV8825 drivers (X and Y) on 32 microsteps and now need to increase steps/mm on X and Y axis quite a bit (that would mean spending the whole evening twiddling the knob...)o_O

    Found the setting (I think) in the firmware configuration.h file of the RC6 version
    and changed them from 160, 180, 800 and 835 to:
    #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {320, 720, 400, 417.5}

    (Using titan extruders with 1,8 degree/step pancakes)

    Silly thing is, the X ans Z seems fine (changed that via the knob), but the other settings does not seem to take, If I look in the movement menu of the LCD the Y and E still reads 180 and 835.. Took the Esteps to 417,5 long time ago via the knob but that is lost now...

    What on earth could make this happen?

    Found it, go to "eeprom/restore failsafe" Sorted! very strange....

    Are you aware of the max limit on the rumba of 40 000 step/sec?

    With drivers set on 32 steps, absolute max speed on Y-axis is 55 mm/sec.

    Thanks, did not know that. Maybe 16 microsteps would be better for Y due to the gearing ratio *under the hood again* :)
