I've been running Alex's firmware with MBL, which I downloaded as a .hex file from here:

    https://jenkins.alitecs.de/job/BigBox_Geek/

I'd like to make some minor changes, but since it's a .hex file I can't open it in Arduino. I'm a complete duffer at this kind of thing, so rather than try to revise Josh's published firmware I'm hoping the uncompiled versions of Alex's are available somewhere. If anyone could point me to a link, I'd be grateful.

You should be able to get Alex’s modified code on github. he has several branches available for pro/dual MBL/ABL mirrored etc.

    https://github.com/Alex9779/Marlin

this can then be compiled using Arduino

Or, an even easier/better option if you’re using octoprint is to use tohara firmware plug-in allowing you to modify the configuration options and compile and upload. You can even point this to Alex’s Github's repo to compile firmware the same as his originally released versions.

Thanks, Paul! I must have had my head up my a** (not unusual for me) not to notice the branches. My seeing eye dog spotted them...
