Posted this in error in the E3D forum. Re-posting here. I am absolutely new to OctoPi/Octoprint. Running on Pi 4B 8GB. Printers connected via Pi USB, PC connects to PI via wired Ethernet. Windows 10, FF 110.0.1. In Octoprint terminal can see the initial connection dialog and replies from the printer. Can "auto home" the printer via Octoprint controls. Can get one +X (for instance) and the printer moves properly. And subsequent commands do not process. I can see them go out via Terminal, but, nothing happens. I'm pretty much at a loss. Attached is snippet of initial connection dialog.
Hi, A while since I ran my printer and Octoprint which is still installed. Did you follow the E3D install instructions to configure it? If so remind me of them (saving me an hour or three remembering where they are Also you say "Windows 19, FF 110.0.1 what is this? I assume the printer was working before this? If so how? for example creating the test print as per the E3D documentation i.e. a bit of history needed from building? or buying? the Big Box I think in general people have moved on from Octoprint to the newer controller whose name escapes me. I never installed the newer controller Regards...
I have an "external" Pi 4b, running OctoPi/Octoprint, that is connected to a PC via a hardwired ethernet connection, running Windows 10 and FireFox 110.0.1. The printer I picked up "as is" at an estate sale a few years ago and am, from time to time, attempting get working. The immediate problem I had described turns out, apparently, to have been an "iffy" brand new USB cable that had great online reviews. In this case, not so much. Now I am attempting to get the Big Box to actually print via Octoprint. I seem to have a "profile" problem, having created one manually. If there is somewhere to get a proper profile I would like to find it.
