Is there a way to steady the Pi camera? I have an issue with the camera being a little shaky due the printers vibrations, I wondered if anyone had come up with a way to dampen this?

I have my printer sat on a sheet of the packaging material.

I found the camera holder is a bit loose. So I inserted a lock washer (not the ones supplied but only the ones which are a cut washer at one position, hope you got what I mean...) between the upper fixed holder and the camera mount.
That way it rotates stronger and is more steady. Didn't have a problem with my time lapses...

I have tried inserting some bits to make it a little tighter but will have to look for those washers. Do you have an image of the washer?

You mean a split ring washer like this?

BTW I chose this one because if you move the cam then the parts could ware down. I thought I use only a split ring washer because they have only one sharp edge instead of a lot...

What does not help is the camera lens seems to be attached by only it's cable.
