so i just built my bigbox, im doing the first homing of it and when the bed starts to home it moves down instead of up towards the IR sensor, is this a firmware thing?

When does it start moving down? After it homes x and y axis?

And an other question: if you trigger the IR sensor with a finger or something does it stop?

Double-check wiring to stepper motors looks like maybe wires are not in the correct positions ;)
I read somewhere else (maybe here) that wiring backwards just causes the rotation direction to change, which would explain your issue

Partially correct, if you switch two wires of the same phase of different coils then yes, it is also possible that the motor won't move at all or do just one step and the stops...

Swapping both coils will also reverse direction.
