Bigbox Dual Titan Hybrid V1.1, so far all the motor types are fitted as per the build manual. The Titan direct drive motor has been exchanged for the Nema17 40N - Dshaft that I purchased as an extra with the Titans. I have a second one of these, do i fit it on the Titan bowden? the manual is really hazy. Thank you for your help
Thanks for the reply, maybe I missed it in the build manual. I will have another read with fresh eyes tomorrow. Can I ask, as you have the same build as me. Now I've installed Titans will I need to change the firmware? Thanks again
I'm using @Alex9779 's Hybrid Titan mirrored MBL here. It assumes the right hand hotend is the primary one.
Whatever came as standard with a dual V1.1 I'm nearly at that point in the build where I power it on for the first time. I was looking through the forum then I thought hmm as I've changed to Titans will I need to change the stock firmware
So normally the primary hotend is the left? and i take it the benefit of this is that your primary hotend is now the direct drive. How do I go about changing the firmware? Is there a good guide?
https://forum.e3d-online.com/index.php?threads/firmware-flashing-guide.708/ Ahhh here this guide seems pretty good how is that choice of firmware working out for you?
It really doesn't matter what is primary. I have two different nozzle sizes and switch between sides all the time. No problems with that. It's all personal preference.
If you can switch between sides easily (this is the first dual I've owned so I'm still very much learning) what would be the benefit to the firmware mike mentioned?
Really, it does not matter but some of us like the idea that the direct drive nozzle is the primary one. Alex's firmware is available in various flavours so you can make your choice. There are issues regarding home positions that need to be addressed and Alex's versions of the S3D profiles include the scripts to deal with this and are available here.
