X-Carriage Limit Switch Fitting the 2mm nuts (Technique)

    These tiny 2mm nuts are a pain to install in the X-Carriage to secure the limit switch, once the carriage is installed in the frame, better that they were installed at the sub assembly stage (note for the WiKi).

    I tried tweezers (too big and can't hold the nut securely)

    Threading the nut on another 2mm screw to hold it in place (does not allow enough threads to engage when you try and screw in the actual screw)

    Impaling the nut on the end of a cable tie to place the nut in the hole............ hopeless !

    In the end I used a spare 4mm screw, placed a tiny amount to blue tak (tac?) on the end of it and then placed the 2mm nut on that, using that to hold the nut in it was easy to screw into it.
