This was a gift I made last Christmas from a model on thingiverse and some creativity using a single E3D hotend the design allowed me to use a single extruder and make color swaps do to the ease and smoothness that the filament goes into the the E3D The first picture is the finished tree Note the ornaments aboveon the christmas tree. Those ornaments are 2mm sphere done using the E3d and I made 5 color changes during the 2mm print. Here are some images of that print one is a close up The square pad was my color changing spot when the print moved to that location I switch colors and when it proceed to the spheres again the filament was flowing smoothly The bottom color cant be seen as it is under at the bottom of the sphere
Cool looking tree, and a unique use for a 3D printer. Very good job and you have given me a few good ideas for Christmas.
