    Hi!

I have a question about the Y-Axid belt Tentionier. I´ve installed the front brackets, now I have to install the belt idler, but the brackets are to slim for the idler assembly. Because of the round front part with the screw in it, which is thicker than the bracket itself the M4 screw cannot reach the sqare nut.

I think the idler assembly should go inside the bracket after I have installed the belt to tension it, but this is impossible now.

    I have two options:
    1) File down the idler assembly, so it can fit the brackets better
    2) Use a much longer M4 screw for the belt tensionier and use a shorter belt than the 690mm from the build manual

Which one would be the best? Or do you have another solution?

    Thanks!

No.1 was the solution for me and it is fine.

OK, thanks! I will do it. I´m relieved to read that I´m not the only one with this issue. ;-)

On a side note, I didn't have a fitting issue but I did use longer M4's there is no clearance issue and it made it easier to assemble.

    Thanks for the info!
Nice to read that both options are possible. :)
