This is my first time posting so apologies if I mess something up.

About a month ago I installed my new Zesty nimble extruder on my CR-10. I have had persistent stringing issues ever since and I have tried just about everything I could think of. I’ve used Zesty Tech’s exact recommended settings, I’ve tried things I’ve found online, but to no avail. The stringing hasn’t gotten better at all.

My printer is a modded stock Cr-10 with a Zesty Nimble 1.2.

    Settings-
    Nozzle Temp- 200C
    Layer height- .2mm
    Line width- 5mm w/ 4mm nozzle
Retraction- 1-10mm (I’ve tried all of the in between) at 20-45mm/sec
Print speed- 50mm/sec w/ 25mm/sec outer wall speed
Z-hop- on or off hasn’t made a difference
    Cooling- On
    Coasting- on

My printer printed with almost no strings with a stock Cr-10 Bowden setup before I swapped extruders.

I'm not familiar with the Zesty products I'm afraid, I can offer some general stringing advice though. Drop the printing temperature, and make sure the filament you are using is dry and from a reasonable brand.

I actually figured it out. The issue was that the stepper motor couldn’t handle the 20:1ish gear ratio so when it retracted it was stalling and barely retracting at all. Lowering the retraction speed to 10mm/s fixed it instantly
